The firm is seeking a hedge fund tax analyst focusing on tax compliance and automation to join our team of tax professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Master’s degree in taxation preferred
- CPA certificate and current valid CPA license
- 6+ years of experience in financial services tax compliance and partnership taxation at a Top 10 accounting firm, fund administrator, or large hedge fund
- Experience with hedge fund structures, such as standalone funds, master/feeders, and funds of funds
- Strong knowledge of the taxation of financial products and investment partnership allocations
- Managerial experience
- Team-oriented personality
- Strong organizational skills and a hands-on, detailed approach to work
Required Technical Skill Areas
- Analysis of complex financial products, including equities, fixed income, and derivatives
- Preparation and review of investment fund partnership tax allocations
- International reporting, including compliance with FATCA, CRS, and country-by-country reporting
- US withholding tax compliance for investors and vendors
- State and local reporting, including allocation and apportionment, composite tax filings, nonresident withholding, and entity-level estimated tax payments
Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of tax return data for investment partnerships and foreign corporations
- Coordination of the timing of K-1s and tax return filings with outside service providers
- Coordination of investor activity and K-1 distribution with our Investor Relations team
- Coordination of trading and asset servicing characterization with our Operations team
