HVAC Specialist

Responsibilities

  • serve as a subject matter expert in all aspects of HVAC, chilled water, and advanced direct liquid cooling (DLC) equipment
  • demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of mission-critical infrastructure, focusing on the seamless integration of emergency electrical systems with data center HVAC operations and facility redundancy protocols

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a data center, telecommunications, or mission-critical industrial environment preferred
  • extensive knowledge of hydronic systems (chilled, hot, and condenser water), large-tonnage rooftop units (RTUs), and makeup air (MUA) with free-cooling economizer systems
  • skilled in the operation, advanced troubleshooting, and technical service of Helical Rotary (Screw), Centrifugal, and Scroll chiller technologies
  • proficiency in the maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and service of mission-critical data center cooling systems, including DX, chilled water, and high-density cooling infrastructure
  • visionary who optimizes for efficiencies and never stops seeking improvements
  • clear communicator who enjoys cross-team collaboration, generates ideas, communicates recommendations to senior-level executives, and drives implementation alongside technicians
  • proactive problem solver with a passion for learning and evolving alongside new technologies
  • highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities under minimal supervision
  • proficient with hand tools and able to lift up to 30 lbs. of equipment
  • flexibility to work non-traditional shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, within a 24/7/365 operational environment
The base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $190,000. In addition to base salary, total compensation includes a discretionary bonus, participation in an incentive compensation plan, and very generous benefits.
