Experienced Project Manager in Hedge Fund Operations

Responsibilities

  • support the end-to-end project lifecycle, coordinating between nontechnical users, development teams, and management across trading, investor relations, treasury, operations, corporate accounting, fund accounting, and tax
  • develop an understanding of data flows, workflows, and dependencies across firm-wide groups and systems
  • develop business requirements and draft technical design specifications for use in building out future systems and enhancing current systems
  • assist in the coordination and prioritization of work for the development team, maintain project roadmaps to monitor progress to ensure timely adherence to deadlines, and escalate when required
  • support the development life cycle and ensure that testing scripts are prepared, resources are secured, and testing is completed in a timely and satisfactory manner
  • coordinate and prepare the annual cross-departmental strategic development plans for the firm’s senior management team and prepare and deliver recurring project management updates for the management team
  • identify future needs of the systems with which the project manager interfaces and make recommendations regarding opportunities to improve scalability, efficiency, or effectiveness
  • assist in the daily status monitoring and troubleshooting of issues related to the firm’s portfolio accounting software (Advent Geneva) and several custom-built Java platforms

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • experience (5-7 years) developing and supporting applications for aspects of fund administration in a modern financial services organization (preferred)
  • technical background (SQL, MS Access, VBA) (strongly preferred but not required)
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
Salary Range: $136,000 - $193,000
