Fund Controller

Responsibilities include

management of the Fund Accounting team, interacting with Operations, Treasury, Investor Relations, Marketing, Tax, Legal, and Corporate Accounting
fund valuation – serving as a member of the firm's Valuation Committee, presenting Fair Value measurements and leveling, and coordinating with the Compliance, Operations, and Data groups on policies and procedures
management fee and performance allocation computations across funds and series
investor statement and investor commentary performance reporting
oversight of a Geneva portfolio accounting platform and integrated data warehouse for reporting
administrator relationship management
auditor engagement management
SOC 1 engagement management and ongoing internal control development
counterparty NAV Trigger monitoring and credit reporting
due diligence meetings with investors and counterparties
SEC and CFTC regulatory reporting.

All candidates must have

a Bachelor's, Master's, or higher degree
a CPA certificate and current, valid CPA license
excellent verbal and written communication skills.

An ideal candidate will also have

an MBA or Masters in Accounting
15+ years of experience in financial services focused on large hedge funds
prior experience from both a Big 4 asset management group and the buy side in alternative investments, directing accounting professionals, managing service providers, and working with project management teams to maximize automation and efficiency
demonstrated ability to work in a high transaction operational environment while taking ownership of the control and improvement of departmental processes and driving innovation with the ability to troubleshoot, streamline, enhance, develop, and document
experience with modernization and continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Geneva as the core engine and integrating proprietary applications to enhance GAAP, MIS, and regulatory reporting.
